Canta Mara Youth Choirs of the Annapolis Valley is throwing a holiday party and everyone’s invited!

This Christmas Day reach out your hand

To those who struggle to stand.

These bells will ring when Peace is come.

And peace will come when the world is one.

• “These Bells Will Ring” - Chloe Grace Baker arr. Keith Sinclair

Join the Canta Mara Youth Choirs (formerly Annapolis Valley Honour Choirs) for their winter concert, “Bring Us Good Cheer” on Saturday, December 5 at Horton High Performance Centre.

The 2026/27 winter concert is all about leaning into the good feelings of the holiday season. With so much darkness on us through the winter, and an increasing sense of darkness in the world at large, Canta Mara is leaning into the light.

“We haven’t really celebrated Christmas and seasonal music in a few years, and I was missing singing it!” says Canta Mara Artistic Director Heather Fraser. “This concert feels like curling up with a hot chocolate in front of the fire and sinking into the holiday feeling. We’re really excited to share the season with our community.”

The programme includes classic carols across the ages, from Renaissance to Mariah. Our younger choirs will bring audiences into “A Marshmallow World” for the winter while the Senior choirs are working on their “Present Face”. As is annual tradition, Canta Mara will be hosting a bake sale at both concerts to further sweeten the experience.

Do you need a little Christmas?  We do too. Come celebrate it with Canta Mara.

“Bring Us Good Cheer”, with Canta Mara Youth Choirs, will be held Saturday, December 5, 2:00pm & 7:00pm at the Horton High School Performance Centre.

Tickets: $25 (adults) and $5 (students).  Available online at www.cantamara.ca or at the door if available.
