With four choirs in our Canta Mara family, we offer a rewarding and satisfying experience for every singer from Grades 2-12. Each choir has their own energy and personality, as music making and skill building changes on their musical journey.
Kids Choir
Grades 2 & 3 Singers
The newest addition to our singing family! For children in Grades 2 & 3, the focus of this choir is FUN! Children sing together, learning through play and activities that build a strong musical foundation.
Maximum of 30 singers per group. Rehearsals on Thursdays.
In Junior Choir, we focus on building healthy vocal production and music literacy skills in a fun, supportive community where lasting friendships are made. Choristers begin to build their independence, with the help of our apprentices and peer mentors.
Singers in this ensemble are truly developing young artists! Extra emphasis for this middle school age is put on strengthening their confidence and using their unique voice for good.
These choristers love to socialize and connect! They are welcoming, loyal and are dedicated to achieving excellence in their singing and musicianship. This ensemble provides a powerful means for these young artists to express themselves musically as individuals and to combine their voices to be a force for good.
Music is such a beautiful language, and we want to empower our singers to be fluent in its many meanings. In our program, transferable skills like theory, ear training and sight singing enhance the understanding and musicianship of our singers, give them musical independence, and contribute to a successful, lifelong musical journey.
